Simon Murray is the man behind the lens!
He is one of the unsung heroes of the film industry, as he has for over 20 years supplied costume eyewear to stars like Madonna, Tom Cruise, Kevin Costner, Michael Caine, Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer and countless others. As a theatrical costumier Simon "specs" Murray has been hailed as the optical king of the silver screen.


Onspec Ontic was born
Simon launched Onspec Ontic on April Fools day in 1987, and this company is now acclaimed as the world's leader in supplying watches and period "specs" to the film and TV industry. As the company expanded, which it rapidly did, the company joined forces with renowned costumiers, Angels & Bermans. Now it has a collection of over 40,000 individual pieces of glasses and sunglasses, covering a period from 1296 to the future.
